- Black hat: He becomes her teacher in Mexican godfather. At first, Mariko was unhappy with him being her teacher, mostly because of the way he treated her, while teaching her to walk without the aid of her wheelchair (at the beginning of the lesson he destroyed her wheelchair and even attempted to abandon Mariko, when he thought that she will never walk without it). When she started to show progress, Black hat was impressed by her sadism and persistence, hence she became his favorite pupil. Ever since that moment, she grew to respect him and constantly seek his approval. Among her teachers, Black hat is the one she respects the most. Deep down, she sees him as a father-like figure, but, knowing about his opinion of love, she keeps those feelings a secret. In time, she even started to care about her teacher, since in Hot in Movietown, along with her classmates, she expressed worry about him
- her classmates: She has a mostly neutral relationship with her classmates, however the other children are shown to be envious of Mariko's status as Black hat's favorite pupil. Mariko seems to get along with Wrath, as they have a lot in common- they are both voiced by Luci Christian, they were both forced to leave their households, they are both of Japanese origin.
