- Riza: The two get married in the episode All about my wife and they have a strong relationship with each other. They always work together and trust each other completely. In the episode The human thief, when Roy was kidnapped and turned into a minotaur by professor Venomous, Riza is seen desperately looking for her husband and hoping that she will find him. After returning to normal, at the end of the episode, they happily embrace each other.
- professor Venomous: Being the one responsible for Roy's kidnapping and mutation, the Flame alchemist has a passionate hatred towards the professor. In fact, Roy is the most unforgiving towards him of all the victims and even punched him angrily in the face, after turning back to normal. In other episodes, although as very minor plot points, Roy is shown to still be hating professor Venomous.
- Black Hayate: Although they are not very close, they care about each other.

Since there are no such rules in the military of the Cartoon kingdom, nothing prevents them from starting a relationship or even marriage.
